Secure the value of your classic
Classic cars are more than vehicles – they are passion, an investment and history. As a Classic Analytics partner, I prepare precise classic car reports based on current market data, taking condition, originality and history into account.
After damage
- Damage appraisal for classic and youngtimer cars: repair costs and diminished value
- Restoration report: what does it cost to restore the original condition?
- Documentation of restoration or repair needs
Determining the value
- Assessment of market and replacement value
- Condition assessment and originality check
- Valuation report for insurance, purchase or sale
Valuations based on the market data of classic-analytics – one of the established providers of classic car market observation and prices.
Without an up-to-date valuation report, the insurer often pays only the standard value after damage – for a classic, that can mean a loss of thousands of euros.
Making repairs on sheet metal visible
On classic cars not every repair can be seen from the outside. With a thermal imaging camera I find indications of earlier repair areas in the sheet metal. On the left a side panel during restoration, on the right the same spot in the thermal image – the two red areas on the side panel show repair areas.
Drag the slider to compare the photo and thermal image of the same spot. The two marked red areas show the repair areas.
A thermal image alone does not prove a repair; it provides indications. Together with a paint thickness measurement that confirms the anomalies, the result becomes reliable – and I can assess whether a repair was carried out properly and professionally.
The vehicle is a restoration project on which I carry out bodywork myself.
